The Southern Baptist’s sex abuse proposals need work

The proposals recently adopted by the Southern Baptists to address sexual abuse and misconduct (SAM) are a nod in the right direction. But until practical controls and activities are built into the proposals, in a best practice and systematic framework every congregation, including the smallest, can use, they will remain no more than that.

It is in the practical details where SAM may be prevented and people may be convinced the Southern Baptists are handling SAM well.
